Using advanced LED’s, infrared (IR) illuminators project an invisible beam, unseen by the human eye, but covertly seen with lowlight cameras and night vision goggles. Unlike thermal cameras, an “invisible” IR beam can covertly identify letters, numbers, and flags on vessels in total darkness, penetrate glass, and provide a crisp and clear video image. IR Illuminators do not replace thermal cameras, but rather provide the operator with additional night vision capabilities.
Carlisle & Finch has three IR Illuminator offerings with marine designs:
Move the slider to see what a marine vessel 640 meters away looks like in total darkness when using our infrared illumination technology.
Offered in 10, 12 and 19-inch diameter “Fixed” projector models, these marinized products are perfectly suited for security applications such as harbors, shorelines, weapons compounds, prisons, and more. The advanced Infrared LEDs have an extremely long life, and low power consumption, which economically provides continuous covert surveillance monitoring 24/7.
Offered as an option on the 12-inch and 19-inch LED searchlights, infrared (IR) LEDs can be specified inside the searchlight housing, in addition to the Visible LEDs. The IR LEDs project an “invisible” beam, which provides covert surveillance when used in conjunction with night vision goggles and lowlight cameras.
IR illuminators are offered as an option on 19-inch Halogen and 500/1000/2500 watt Xenon Searchlights, either as a new-build product, or field upgrade. External IR illuminators attach to the searchlight head and project an “invisible” beam, providing covert surveillance with night vision goggles and lowlight cameras.
IR Illuminators provide capabilities not provided by thermal cameras…
